An Ecumenical and Inclusive Fellowship of the United Methodist Church

Congregational Care

Jim Edwards, Chairperson
The Congregational Care Team is here to help our members who need assistance. We recruit drivers to bring people to church for Sunday Services. We provide meals for those recovering from illness or surgery. A team of Lay Pastors has been organized to assist the Pastor with hospital visits and visiting shut-ins, bringing flowers and good cheer. The Lay Pastors go out every first Sunday to serve Holy Communion to those who are shut-in and want to receive the sacrament. We also keep the pastor informed of recent illnesses or other needs. Our Lay Pastors give Communion and a modified service to at least 12 to 15 residents in Catered Living on the first Sunday of every month. Our Care Givers provide a caring relationship for a longer period, visiting persons who are in in rehabilitation centers, nursing homes, or recovering at home. Our Lay Pastors are Jim Edwards, Jack Snyder, Joan Stearn, Kathy Carrier, Lois Dietrich, and Phil Reed who give Communion to at least 12 to 15 residents in Catered Living the first of every Month or visit with shut-ins. If you wish to receive any of these services please contact the church office.
