Family Education

The Christian Development and Spiritual Growth of the children, youth and families of Community Church at Ocean Pines is of the upmost importance. Our Christian Education is based on the Lectionary and is Bible based. We have a dedicated group Safe Sanctuary trained volunteers that teach Sunday School, host our Youth Group meetings, chaperone Youth Group events and participate in Vacation Bible School. They are the true identity of Stewardship giving of their time, their talent and treasure to our children. The congregation is very supportive of our children and always meets the needs of our ministry. Because of everyone involved we are able to reach our goal of helping our children develop a deep relationship with God that will follow them all of their lives.

Our Ministry offers the following:

• Sunday School during our Contemporary 9:15am service and Traditional 10:30am service for grades Pre-K thru 12th.
• Vacation Bible School – Held in July each year for Pre-K thru 5th Grades.
• Chi Rho Youth Group for grades 6 thru 12 - a time of fellowship and devotion for our Teens! Meetings times TBA.
• Attend the annual Conference Youth Rally in Ocean City, MD.
• Youth Service Projects- ASP/Small Miracles Project, prepare goodies for our shut ins, assist in Church fundraisers and projects.
• Camp Pecometh Scholarships.
• Confirmation Classes to Grades 5 and up. Classes are scheduled based on the needs of our Youth.
• Many Family Fellowship opportunities such as: Indoor/Outdoor Movie nights, Annual Easter Egg Hunt, Rally Day Family Picnics, Advent Craft and Luncheon.
